Music and Writing by Dyana Lunaris

Hey all! It's your full moon blogger here at The Men and Women of Silk's blog Dyana Lunaris!

I love writing, have writing most of my life and I have found that while aome authors need a quiet room in which to concentrate while the write I am much more likely to hear my muse if she's singing along to some of my favorite music.

Music and life are linked and I can like a song to just about anyone and everything going on in my life from the book I'm currently reading to the fact that my best friend just broke it off with her boyfriend. Music inundates us with emotion in a world we would otherwise not have the time to feel. It's like a blow to the armor of your heart. You can be perfectly at peace when you enter the elevator but if the songs they are playing remind you of a sad point in your life or someone you have lost then you will be simply and inevitably brought to tears.

I love using music as inspiration for my books and have very often not been able to finish it until the music is cranking through my head phones.

My newest book, Roses Never Fade was written alongside the heart wrenching dulcet tones of Journey's Send Her My Love and Celtic folk music. The Order of the Dragon would never have come together without the screaming emotion of A.F.I.'s Davey Havok screaming his emotion over and over again like a chisel to the heart.

What song will inspire me to write the world's greatest masterpeice and what artist will inspire you to live your life wallowing in lovely, pure, hot blooded emotion?
